Building Photos

What these are for: these go straight to Rent Better to advertise the unit — they are the pictures a renter sees before deciding to come and look. A good set rents the unit faster; a bad one costs us weeks. That is why they are shot differently from walk photos.
When: only when the unit is empty and clean — the Turnover Board shows a 📷 line on any unit that needs them. Before you shoot: every light on, blinds and curtains open, all doors open, toilet lid down, shower curtain pulled back. Absolutely nothing sitting on counters or on the floor — no cleaning supplies, tools, paint cans, garbage bags or boots. If it isn't attached to the unit, it's out of the frame.
How: phone sideways, switch to the wide lens — in the camera app, tap the 0.5 (or 0.6) button next to the 1×. It zooms out, so the whole room fits in the picture. Then stand in the doorway or the corner so the whole room is in, don't shoot into a bright window.

1. Kitchen from the doorway
2. Kitchen, second angle — appliances and counter
3. Living room from the entry
4. Living room toward the window
5. Each bedroom, from the door — window and bed wall in the frame
6. Each bedroom again, from the opposite corner, closet doors open — so the closet size shows
7. Bathroom from the door
8. Entrance and hall, coat closet open
9. Balcony: from inside, a few feet back, balcony door open — door, balcony and the view all in one frame. No balcony? Same shot from the main window.
